ODTÜ Mimarlık Bölümü mezunu, ODTÜ Restorasyon Bölümü'nde master yaptı. İtalya ve İngiltere'de mimari koruma üzerine mesleki uzmanlık eğitimleri aldı. Kurucu ortağı olduğu mimarlık ve restorasyon bürosunda pek çok koruma projesi gerçekleştirdi. Gerçekleştirdiği Darphane-i Amire restorasyonu ile Serbest Mimarlar Derneği ödülü, Milet İlyas Bey Camii restorasyonu ise Europa Nostra ödülü aldı.

Bürodan ayrılarak Kültür Bakanlığı ortaklığı ile gerçekleştirilen Dünya Bankası Türkiye Kültürel Miras Projesi proje yöneticisi görevini üstlendi. Avrupa Birliği GAP Kültürel Miras Projesi yerel koordinatörü olarak görev vaptı.

Bu arada yemek tutkusu hep sürdü ve 2000-2003 arası Slow Food Ödülü dünya jürisinde yer aldı. 2003'te Cumhuriyet yazılarına başladı.

2007 yılından beri düzenli konuşmacı olarak katıldığı Oxford Symposium of Food & Cookery için hazırladığı bir araştırma ile yemek tarihi konusunda özgün araştırmalara verilen prestijli Sophie Coe ödülünü kazandı. Yurtdışında pek çok referans kitabına katkıda bulundu.

Güneşin ve Ateşin Tadı: Gaziantep Mutfağı kitabını yayına hazırladı. Halen Hürriyet Daily News, Milliyet Daily Weekekend, The Guide, Al-Monitor, Forbes Travel Guide gibi İngilizce yayınlarda yazmaktadır. Graduated from Middle East Technical University Department of Architecture and completed his master's degree in METU Restoration Department. Received professional expertise on architectural preservation in Italy and England. Carried out many conservation projects in the architecture and restoration office of which she was a founding partner. Received the Free Architects Association award for the restoration of the Darphane-i Amire, and the Europa Nostra award for the restoration of Milet İlyas Bey Mosque.

Left the office and assumed the task of project manager of the World Bank Turkey Cultural Heritage Project, which was carried out in partnership with the Ministry of Culture. Served as the local coordinator of the European Union GAP Cultural Heritage Project.

Meanwhile, her passion for food continued and she took part in the world jury of the Slow Food Award between 2000-2003. She started his Cumhuriyet writings in 2003.

She won the prestigious Sophie Coe Award for original research on food history with her research for the Oxford Symposium of Food & Cookery, where she has been a regular speaker since 2007. She contributed to many reference books abroad.

She prepared the book Taste of Sun and Fire: Gaziantep Cuisine for publication. Still writes for English publications such as Hürriyet Daily News, Milliyet National Daily Weekend Supplement, The Guide, Al-Monitor, Forbes Travel Guide. Is also NTV Radio Broadcaster: “Bitter, Sweet, Sour” Food Programme, Contributor to Metro Gastro Magazine, Slow Food Ankara Convivium-Turkey, Founder & Leader
